Review by hotel critic
I recently enjoyed a gourmet getaway at the Ibis, which proved to be a delightful surprise. Located just a quick five-minute walk from the Gare de l'Est, convenience was a highlight for this wandering photographer. The staff were genuinely accommodating, especially the gentleman from Congo—his name escapes me, but his kindness and engagement made my stay feel quite welcoming. The culinary scene at the hotel was a revelation. Breakfast included a lovely selection, and I particularly appreciated the option to grab a hot beverage and a piece of fruit for my day's adventures. The restaurant ambiance was inviting, making it a perfect spot to unwind after a long trek through Paris. While the room was larger than expected and the shower good, I did experience a bit of street noise on the weekend. The fine dining experience more than made up for it. I would certainly recommend this hotel for those looking to indulge in a culinary experience amid the city’s hustle and bustle.
